The White House Loves Armageddon

This is a must read. I'm so happy about the situation, I thought I'd put the article up before I had time to comment on it. I'll be addressing the issue sometime in the near future.

When you next start writing articles Nathaniel, I would enjoy hearing your opinion of this:

ewap -- besides the fact that video games are evil, this game is especially evil. admittedly i've never played the game and have only heard about it in that and other articles, but from what i understand, the people who are not coverted to christ are to be killed. this is totally against the teachings of Jesus and usurps the authority of God to control life or death. instead of killing, these unconverted should be imprisoned or segregated from the God-fearing. now all of this assumes that the unconverted are simply living their lives of evil without actively atacking the good Christians. if there are attacks and Christians fear for their lives, then death is appropriate.

But this game is based on the Left Behind series, which I was under the impression that you thought was excellent?

Sorry to derail these comments by the way, I had been hoping that you might write an article on it so I could comment there and avoiding hijacking this post for a separate debate.

ewap -- loosely based; the authors had nothing to do with it.

i know, btw, that i haven't been posting of late. but keep checking in, for the end of summer is here and i will have lots of time to spread the message of the lord via blogspot.

Reading the review again, it actually says that killing civilians causes you to lose points. One would assume that those who arent classified as civilians would be people who are attacking the Christian forces.

Also, although the authors were not directly involved, I'm sure it was necessary to get their consent before the game could be developed.

ewap -- either way, video game should not allow killing period unless they invent some type of device that causes the player absolute emotional and physical pain. otherwise, the value of life in society decreases, esp. in the mind of children.

Would this be the sort of thing you and Parnell would disagree about? He does seem to mention Christian soldiers a lot in his posts, and as you have said before you differ on issues, notably the death penalty, which seems to be what you are taking issue with in this game.

Ewap: Do you ever play the Sims? They're a blast!

Whenever I have something particularly nasty to try out, I always do so on my "Nathaniel and Parnell" sims.

Tis great fun, really.
